FULL-TIME VETERINARY TECHNICIAN WANTED FOR ANIMAL CLINIC IN WESTWOOD, MA
Veterinary Services of Westwood (VSW) is a woman-owned/operated, full-service veterinary clinic that takes its motto seriously -- “Providing Loving Care beyond Compare” to cats and dogs.
VSW seeks a new member of this caring and compassionate team with the addition of a Full-time Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT). The successful candidate will themselves be a caring, dependable, enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude, a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and role model for other employees.

Required education: CVT/LVT from an accredited program or equivalent experience
Required experience: At least 1 year in veterinary practice or shelter setting.
Essential Duties:
Surgical assistance, including anesthesia and monitoring
IV catheter placement, blood draws, and injections
Perform diagnostic laboratory tests (Idexx)
Clinical assistance, including general and dental radiographs
Medication preparation and administration
Client interaction, including patient histories and education
Patient prep for appointments with the veterinarian
Routine clinic duties (phones, appointments/scheduling, cleaning)
Some nights and rotating Saturdays required
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of clients and owners;
The right candidate will have a fundamental knowledge of a windows-based computer, MS Word/Google Apps, and the ability to learn new software systems;
Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds;
Punctuality is expected
